Title: Surprise!
Surprise! I received a Teacher's Day gift today. I was not expecting one and to highlight it, i have never entertained the thought of receiving a gift meant for a teacher. haha. Thanks to my tutee and her family, i got one.
The cute point of the entire story about the gift was that the $3.90 price tag pasted on the box. At first, i thought it was the actual cost of the gift but it later turned out to be it was printed and pasted by my tutee as she wanted to test the printing, if i am not wrong.

Met
Title: Met
This morning, i met up with Ann for breakfast. It has more than a month i have not met her. Before meeting her, i was supposed to have a morning run. But seeing the weather was dark when i opened my eyes, partially awaken from the sleep. I immediately went back to catch some more sleeping time.
Well, today would be the last time i will be seeing Shu Fen and Audrey before they go off to China for exchange programme. The next time would be receiving them at the airport. haha. Well, i hope i could make it then. Anyway, Kok Ho also came.
The fun thing about today's outing was that I was the earliest of all. Normally, i would be the last to come. But today i came at 12.47pm at IMM, which was about 10mins earlier than the meeting time. haha. In the end, everyone else was late. I had to wait for them till 1.45pm or so. Seriously, i was not really angry. I spent time looking for a bus service guide book and finally found one.
When Kok Ho and Shu Fen came, i was told that they were caught in the rain. Kok Ho and Shu Fen had to share an umbrella when they walked to IMM. But the main point was that Kok Ho's shirt was wet towards his left side. haha. Shu Fen was saying and laughing that Kok Ho was tilting his body slightly to her and said, "淑芬，可以遮过来点"(Shu Fen, shift the umbrella towards this side( referring to his side)).
Anyway, we headed towards Jurong Entertainment Centre for neo-prints. It's been so long since i have one. After the shoot, Audrey and Shu Fen were both maximising their creativity effort to enhance the pictures.
After that, i went straight for tuition.

Seated down in the corner of that tiny room of, and there he was with his eyes watching through the standard-sized units of square grid of the window grill. Then he was on the phone with his friend, Ann. The time of the call was 8.47pm, 27 August. Coincidentally, it was the month of the hungry ghost festival, according to the lunar calendar.
At first, the phone call was filled with joys and laughters in the air. This was all felt through the dilation of the arteries, veins as the blood flow more quickly. However, it soon came to an end when the content took a rapid change. So she went: "记得明天不带鬼来" (don't bring a ghost along tomorrow) and immediately the effect of word ghost could be felt. It definitely sent chills down the spine. Just how sensitive the word could be.

Cooped up
Title: Cooped up
Well, i did not go out at all today. What a disapointment! I had thought that i could go to zoo. But anyway, i received right after writing the yesterday's post.
I did to myself was to coop myself up in small square room where i kept eyes focused on my computer. I was actually watching this attractive show i watched the 3rd and 4th episodes on CableTV. But because i have missed out the first 2 episodes, i turned to YouTube for my solution. haha. In the end, that show was so good that i ended up watching it from 11am or so in the morning till 8.40pm. Right after i update my blog.
The end-result of spending my day like that is i am now half-way through the 16 episode series. I just completed viewing episode 9. It was actually a Korean drama - Snow Queen 《雪之女王》by Hyun Bin and Sung Yuri. It has been a few months since i got so captivated by a Korean show.
The more i watch this show, all the more i feel like going back to Korea. haha.
So i decided to put a video of the first part of first episode in my blog to share with you. If you really like it, continue watching it at YouTube or buy the DVDs or watch it on CableTV.

my reflection for the movie
Title: my reflection for the movie
First of all, the end of exams opens the doors to HOLIDAYS, finally. I deserve every bit of them and will need to plan well and make the holidays a well-spent one. What i have in mind is to travel around Singapore and getting myself familiar with the bus services and routes. I could easily imagine myself visiting the places on the buses. More than that. I would like to do some home visits to both my paternal grandmother and maternal grandparents soon. I think my holidays will be filled with tuitions.
Anyway, talking about a well-spent holiday. The official first day of holidays was great. I went watching Jay Chou's "Secret", <<不能说的秘密>> with Cynthia and Michelle and with Han Xiang joining us for dinner. Both Michelle and Cynthia had waited for me to watch the show and if i dare to say, 'i don't want to watch', i think i would be on top of their hit list. Thanks for the patient wait.
Firstly, for me, it was a great movie as although the story where it projected about the travelling in time that was not achievable in the reality, at all and absurd. I thought it was that made the story went out of the conventional path of ending a story through the use of an extra element to effect a different ending. Overall, i found that the acting wise was fine as Jay was acting on what he's been through so i think it should be how he handled his love life in the past.
After watching the movie, i was reflecting quite a long time. Maybe it could be what Cynthia said it left some sadness within one who watched the show. Then i was thinking that love happened in school days like in secondary or even primary school is really pure and is sweet to recall, wouldn't it be? Anyway, i have passed that stage so it is all about earning more, more and more incomes in the near future. Love during young adults' years and later would never be as precious as the one had during the tender age of any individual, especially the first love that one met. It is always special.
Next stop for me: zoo tomorrow.

I WANT HOLIDAYS!
Title: I WANT HOLIDAYS!
I am now around 1 week away from the start of my 5 continuous examination days. But of course, i hope that my exams will end really soon as i have many things i would like to do during my highly anticipated 2 months' break.
First to start off, on 24 August, i will need to go out with Han Xiang and Guan Zhu. ( I wonder if it is confirmed). Anyway, then i will visit zoo on 26 August with Kok Ho, Shu Fen and Audrey. Following that, i will and hopefully can see off Audrey and Shu Fen at the Airport as they leave for the overseas study trip. I hope Kok Ho can also join me on that day.
I have a camp from 5 Sep to 8 Sep. During the camp on 7 Sep, i have to have an individual presentation.
The rest of the holiday will be spent with no fixed plan as yet but will think of it during the course of the holidays. So much for my wishlist for the coming holidays. I WANT HOLIDAYS!

Crave for Music
Title: Crave for Music
I have a sudden crave for more Korean and Japanese songs. I just had an urge to acquire the earlier albums by H.O.T, though the group had long disbanded. I am tired of listening to mandarin songs.
Anyway, nothing much happened today. But I have been thinking for some time what album i should splash my money on. Then it came to me H.O.T. Next would be albums by Kang Ta, a former member of H.O.T.
My Japanese Stage 2 lessons would be starting soon in one weeks' time and i have yet to pay for the fees. I will need to take out some time to register for the class. After learning Japanese, i think i would most probably go for Korean language.

Lesson Learnt
Title: Lesson Learnt
Another semester is coming to an end, that is great. Projects are down, with only exams left to be dealt with. Once i complete the exams for this semester, i would be enjoying another long 2 months vacation. I am left with the final semester before my graduation next year. Graduation, come quickly.
What have i encountered these few weeks? I have met with some difficulties. Well, i shan't preach about it. But i think for myself, i have learnt through the process, which will equip me better for the future. For what's done, i have done with which i deem i could within means.
"Words uttered may be unclear, kind intention can never be clearer than this."
The sentence above summarised what i have gone through.
What i should be doing: Study-study-study with ample amount of sleep needed.
