An act of skiving - story

The teacher asked a group of 3 students - Jon, Jen, and Jun to run errands for her. They were told to deliver the different sets of book consisting of science, maths and english to her desk. Jun proceeded to collect the pile of science books. Jon questioned his action.

Jun said with a cheeky smile,"See each of the science book is less than 0.5 cm thin and is light."

But to Jen, it was a matter of Jun trying to do less work than Jon and herself as the remaining books were much heavier. She felt that Jun could have helped to carry more books to share the workload fairly.

If you are given something to do with your friends. would you do the same as Jun?

The truth holds true only when it is useful. However, when another set of useful truth is discovered, the current one will be deemed invalid.

Immutable feelings are a testament for being faithful. A pity is that not many have the required discipline to withstand the changes. As such, there is only these few whom reach the state of art form and truly understand the deeper meaning of a true romance.

A bad decision

A bad decision made. If the decision was concerning me only, it was not that bad after all. However, it was not. Although it was better not to blame anyone (except myself), i was supposedly in the best of my mood this week and i was made to make tough decision at this moment (in which i was supposed to enjoy myself). Yucks, i made a wrong move and it fouled up my night. I am going to sleep it and wake up a new mood tomorrow. Goodnight to this bad decision.

Crab

I am simply craving for a chilli crab that i even drew it. Worse still, i might even drool over it. Crabs, i will save it for next weekends. haha.

A new singer in the industry but definitely worth supporting.

good customer service

This actually happened and it did in a land where i thought that all the politeness and friendliness has gone up in smoke. I was taken aback from what i have seen. It was quite a rare sight to have a good customer service personnel.

The man who was attending to me, was meticulous enough in handling the product. This was when i saw the way he opened a phone box. It was pretty obvious he used some gentle force and technique to open the product in the least possible damaging way. The next salesperson whom i met even introduced me to another shop to buy the thing i need. Hardly would there be anyone in the market introduced his potential customers to his/her rivals. Both have displayed acts a level higher than being just polite and friendly. They were able to feel for the customers.

This has enhanced my shopping experience. What's more, i feel more than willing to part with my spending dollars for the products they are selling. Let's hope that there are more such customer service personnel. Handling customers daily is emotionally draining and i can do my part by being happy with their service to give them a little lift in their morale.

Good Friday

Grandfather's birthday was on Good Friday and my whole family including my relatives went to Seafood Internationl, Playground @ Big Splash at East Coast Park. There were all the great seafood like crabs (my favourite), scallops, shark's fins, prawns. The taste of the food still lingers in my tongue.

Running

For the past sunday mornings, i have adopted a healthy activity - running. Never before in my life have i appreciate it so much. Suddenly, it is an addiction to run. The motivation that keeps me running is that i want to always break my personal best timing for 2.4km run. Actually, i have managed a 10mins 2 weeks ago. I want to get better record. haha.

In each run, i have to constantly remind myself to run faster as time is outrunning me. That is the toughest especially when i am running the 4th lap as by then, i will feel out of breath. But after each session, it makes me refreshed and i am faster than others now. haha.

cousins

I went to pray to Grandfather today. There i saw my cousins. A few more weeks and Darren's life is going to change dramatically. It is going to be tough and different but i just hope he can cope well. A smooth rite of passage for him.

Another cousin of mine, Xin Yi. She is having her happy schooling life. I could tell it instantly when she mentioned to me that she had her friend's phone number. haha. She is much taller now.

Mummy's flowering birthday

Mummy's flowering birthday was yesterday and it has passed. Once i was 'set' free, i quickly rushed to the Causeway Point's florist shop and got 4 blue roses. Blue roses, to me look better than red ones. They are somehow part of a new way of being romantic. Red roses seem like classic romance found in the 90s. Then i proceeded to my grandma's house and got my present done. The roses were part of a small artwork of mine.

Next, it was presenting the gift to Mummy. Dad, Boon and i gathered outside the house. We distributed the present and the cake among ourselves. Then the 3 of us entered the house, one by one, with an item and a piece of paper written," Happy Birthday to You".

Although Mummy is not someone who likes to celebrate birthday, i could tell she appreciated our effort. On top of that, the footwear was suitable for her (phew, lucky me). Later, she told me she wanted the Birkenstock sandal. All i could say now is that maybe that pair of Birkenstock will be hers next time.

Then her birthday was rounded up with a Thai-Chinese buffet this evening.
