It was a friday evening; the most relaxing time of the week. Waiting in the queue for slightly more than 2 hours, they were all dressed up. It must be said that each and every visitor was in his/her best attire. Some waited halfway and left while others persisted. Finally, it was their turn. They did a short transaction at the entrance counter. Blinked, $25 per person was gone and in exchange, they got an entrance stamp and 2 complimentary drink tickets.

They were welcomed with a question from a guy dressed in a black suit as though he was some bodyguard, "Are you ready to go?". With understandable gestures, they were showed the way in. Shortly, a flock of people came in and took the lift with them.

As they left the lift and entered the dark room, they stood in an enclosed area where the DJs were spamming loud, hip-hop music. Everywhere they looked; people were either dancing to the groove or drinking to their fills.Voices were hardly heard.

While queuing at the bar for a drink, a red-faced man signed credits off his card as he paid his bill for another bottle of alcohol. In addition to the free drinks, they even ordered another jug of beer for 5 (priced at least $50). It was little wonder that clubbing was a richman's game.

The music was explosive but never to those whom were high on alcohol. They were enjoying the moments as the effects kicked in. Even if a person who knew nuts about dancing shook his body, he was considered a great dancer. So the cycle of ordering drink and then dancing was repeated for some. Their hard-earned income was diminishing rapidly. The drinks cost greatly but the party-goers who were by then drunk and easily signing bills (without minding the cost), never felt the pinch.

It was simply an eye opener as the party lasted throughout the night till as late as 4am. Perhaps it should be said the outlet was operating till EARLY 4am. It was scary how people splurged just over a night. This was really a rich people's game; an unhealthy one.
