Title: someone's birthday
Today was someone's birthday - 15 August 2008. Unknowingly, i met the person. Perhaps it was one-in-a-million chance to meet the particular someone. It was a perhaps a surprise for me as well. After seeing that someone a while, i was told of someone's birthday. My first response was,"Why didn't you tell me?"
However, everything seemed to be in place for me. I still managed to give that someone a present.
Well, that someone has changed abit. I wish that someone HAPPY BIRTHDAY! May all your wishes come true!

understanding, it takes years
Title: understanding, it takes years
"When time drags, i drat it," the old man lamented. While he was saying this, he looked into the eyes of his young grandson. Obviously, the sentence was targeted at the young lad. But a 9 year-old could not grasp the possibly abstract statement. The boy presented a curious face. Then the old man began saying,"I foresee the many, tedious tests ahead of you."
"Because of the tests, you will begin to sacrifice your innocent youth in order to become an understanding person. Each test brings you a new level of understanding. Understanding creates a mature person. At end of it, you will be like me and sympathise the way we old people feel, behave. But, a pity, this takes years."

reminiscing nature with eeyore
Title: reminiscing nature with Eeyore
Accompanied by my Eeyore, we went to places: Woodlands, Khatib. I did some reading at the library, Woodlands. This is the place where i'd like to read a particular book the most. But today, another book has won me over. In Khatib, there are 2 places that contained some memories. They are Bottle Tree Park and Lower Seletar Reservoir.

A trip that brought me back all the memories. I once had all those moments in these places and the feelings are just fine and well-retained. I am glad. Eeyore is glad as well. :)

On thursday, 31 July, Wei Ting and i went to watch Han Xiang receiving CCA award at a ceremony. It was kind of homecoming for me as i went back to my former school. There, i met some old friends - Yi Da, Melise. Saw Melise dancing and always at the same old spot.

Impressed
Title: Impressed
"Winning is winning. Losing is losing. Be happy with everything. Don't cry anymore."
Although the words used in the above quote are rather simple, they do, as sentences, show some depth of thinking. Besides that, it comes from a minor. It is definitely impressive.
The explanation of the phrase is even more impressive. Even if one scores 50 marks or fails an exam, it does not mean that one has failed. As long as one is hardworking and good hearted, he will have a job like anyone else. In other words, he will be rewarded too but in some other ways.
More importantly, be sure that you will still be given another mission/mean of survival in life (by God, if you believe in it). He told me the meaning of being content with my current status quo. I am impressed.
